Effective 3/16/2020, Canton City WIC services will be provided by appointment only. Click here to go to our WIC homepage for more details. **At this time, Infants & Children do not need to be present in our office when staff issue food benefits to your WIC Card**

The following changes have been made to NURSING clinics until further notice: 

  • We will only be seeing patients in STI clinic who are symptomatic, returning for treatment or a referral from the DIS (Shameem). 

  • SWAP is OPEN! Starting May 15, 2020 from 2PM-4PM we will resume our modified process of seeing participants. We ask that you please wear a facial covering during your time at SWAP. Thank you for following our new guidelines.

  • Narcan is now available via mail order! If you are able to provide a valid Stark County address and are in need of a kit, click here to complete the simple process. Kits are also available at these locations.

  • Immunization, Travel, TB testing and HIV testing clinics have been cancelled.

  • HIV testing is available by appointment only by calling (330) 489-3322 and speaking with a member of the HIV Prevention Team.

The Health Department has resumed counter service for issuing birth and death records in our lobby area, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. We request that customers observe the following:


  • Maintain six-foot social distance
  • Wear a face covering (unless medically unable)
  • Complete an application prior to arrival
  • Bring your own pen (if needed)
  • If you are sick, please stay home (see alternative options below)
  • Only four (4) people in the lobby at one time
  • Only one (1) person per family
  • Please follow signs for waiting in line, etc

Pregnant? Caring for a child under age 1? Stark County THRIVE Community Health Workers can help you connect to local services and items to keep you, your baby, and family healthy! Stark County THRIVE is still accepting clients. If you are pregnant or have a child under age 1, please fill out our online THRIVE Referral Form. You will be contacted by a Community Health Worker who will assist you with connections to services that meet your specific needs. All face-to-face visits will resume once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
