Private Water Systems

Believe it or not, there are still many private water systems existing within the Canton City limits today.  "Wells" as they are better known are water supplies outside the responsibility of the municipality and are designed to directly pull water from an underground aquifer.  Well maintenance is the responsibility of the property owner and although new construction of a well is not recommended, installation of a well within the city limits is not prohibited.
